Open House Archeology

On the 17th and 18th of September, several spaces in the old part of Lisbon open their doors for the first time, as part of the “Open House Archeology”, organized by the Lisbon Museum. Private homes, shops, hotels and museums show, in a single weekend, what very few people know about the archaeological and historical past of the city of Lisbon. Participation is free upon prior registration at: reservas@museudelisboa.pt or by calling 215 818 530. The complete program is available on the Museum of Lisbon website.

Zone

Alvalade

Through the streets of Alvalade, which seem to have been drawn with a ruler and square, a success story is written of a neighbourhood planned from scratch in the 1940s, but which knew how to grow and evolve into a diversified offer of facilities, schools, services and transport without losing its identity.
