Pharaohs Superstars at Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation
From the 23rd of November onwards, is possible visit Pharaohs Superstars, an exhibition around the figure of the pharaoh, in the Main Gallery of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. From Egyptian antiquities to pop music, passing through medieval illuminations and classical painting, the exhibition brings together works of different natures, such as archaeological pieces, historical documents and works, and contemporary objects. Around 250 pieces will be presented from important European collections, including the British Museum, the Louvre Museum, the Museo Egizio (Turin), the Ashmolean Museum (Oxford), the Musée d’Orsay (Paris), the Mucem – Musée des Civilizations de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée (Marseille) and the National Library of Portugal (Lisbon). Tickets cost €5 and can be purchased on the official Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation website.
