Womex, the biggest international music event in the world, will be in many cultural spaces in Lisbon, from the 19th to the 23rd of October. There are more than 60 concerts waiting for you, a series of conferences, a cinema series and an exhibition area. Womex brings together 300 musicians of different nationalities and around 520 publishers and distributors in Lisbon during the five days and four nights at the event that will be distributed by the Altice Arena, where the exhibition and conferences will take place; The concerts will take place at Coliseu dos Recreios, Cinema São Jorge, Teatro Tivoli BBVA, Cineteatro Capitólio, São Luiz Teatro Municipal, in a tent set up in Parque Mayer and also at LAV – Lisboa ao Vivo. Cinemateca Portuguesa will broadcast the films and documentaries. There will also be a ceremony for the delivery of the most prestigious World Music Awards at the São Luiz Teatro Municipal. To celebrate the beginning of five days of great music and cultural exchange, Teatro Tivoli BBVA will host the opening concert, on October 19, at 8 pm, under the motto Lisbon Sounds – The New Traditional Lisbon.
