Rock in Rio encourages festival-goers to travel by transport
If you want to go to Rock City, but don’t know how, don’t worry. This year, Rock in Rio Lisboa brings the initiative “#EuVouDeTransportes”, providing several travel options capable of meeting the main needs of the public, including extended hours, special prices, packs festival ticket + transport and departure points to and from the entire country, as well as pick up and drop off Initiative #EuVouDeTransportes, in addition to aiming to ensure all the safety and comfort for festival-goers, it intends to promote the option for more sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives.

When you present your ticket to Rock in Rio Lisboa, the round trip in Urbanos de Lisboa (Sintra, Azambuja and Cascais lines) becomes a special fare of €2. In order to ensure that no one is left out of the festival, accessibility to the SIM Service for customers with special needs is also guaranteed.
For all those who already have a ticket, Fertagus makes a special offer of 2 euros round trip. All those who prefer the train ticket will also have parking available at the FERTAGUS station parks for just €1.60 and in the autossilo car parks for €2 (Estações do Pragal, Corroios, Foros de Amora, Fogueteiro and Coina) .
So that the experience in the City of Rock can be lived to the fullest, FERTAGUS will also provide special schedules with the last departure from Roma-Areeiro leaving at 01:35 am.
TTSL – Transtejo Soflusa
Well known by many, all river connections on the Transtejo Network will cost just €2 per ticket (round trip).
Uber does not need presentations and its use is simple, intuitive and safe. At Rock in Rio, its use will be even more simplified and just download the application, open the area dedicated to Rock in Rio Lisboa and choose one of the privileged Pick up/drop off points.
Rede Expressos reaches every nook and cranny of the country – and returns home after 14 hours of music and partying. Passengers will be entitled to a 25% discount when purchasing domestic travel on the Rede Expressos website and app by entering the discount code RIR2022, for travel between 17 and 27 June.
After the first experience transporting the public in 2018, the BusUp platform joins the mobility plan again. This new form of collective urban transport is convenient, sustainable and will provide various shuttles around Lisbon and routes available from all over the country.
The ROCKCard CP pack is a combination that includes a ticket for the event, a round-trip intercity train journey to Lisbon Oriente and transfer by bus Gare do Oriente – Cidade do Rock – Gare do Oriente. These packages have a price of €89 and €97 (departures from the North Zone). On the days of the festival, those who already have a ticket for the festival will be able to enjoy a 30% discount on the Intercidades, Regional and InterRegional trains, with a Special Train from Lisbon Oriente to Porto at 2:30 am that also guarantees the same discount.

Knowing that some of the visitors to Cidade do Rock prefer to hand over their travel arrangements in the trusted hands of Agência Abreu, this year there will be more solutions made available by this partner. For those departing from Braga, Guimarães, Porto, Aveiro, Coimbra and Algarve, starting on the 20th of May, it will be possible to purchase the Rock in Rio Express pack, which includes the ticket to the festival and round-trip transport to a of the cities of residence, for the value of 84€ (Central Region of Portugal) or 94€ (North and Southern Region of Portugal).
Already used to these festival wanderings, Carris ensures seven careers in support of the City of Rock. The 32B comes from Amendoeira and travels to Bela Vista. Leaving Olaias, the 34B will also take everyone to the largest music and entertainment park in the country. The 708, 722, 755, 793 and 794, coming from the most diverse parts of Lisbon, are other options that stop at Parque da Bela Vista. At the end of the night, it’s simple to return home to Rede da Madrugada, with the 208 operating between Cais do Sodré and Estação do Oriente.
