The city preserves, in plain sight, clues about its geological past and the Rio Seco Geomonument is one of those examples. Old quarries give rise to an enormous cave, which surprises those who pass by due to the large dimensions of its entrance, currently framed from a landscape point of view by an urban leisure park.
