In the heart of Avenida da Liberdade, just a few metres from the city's main performance halls, we find immortalised talents on what is Portugal's first walk of fame. The traditional Portuguese pavement around the Praça da Alegria has engraved names of personalities linked to the stage arts, such as Beatriz Costa, Filipe la Feria, Vasco Santana, Nicolau Breyner, Maria Rueff or José Raposo.

Liberdade

Avenida da Liberdade was built following the style of the Champs Elysées between 1879 and 1882. It opened up a new era in the urbanisation and expansion of the city to the north and very quickly became the address of choice for high society. This aura of exclusivity accompanies it to the present day and its historic and imposing buildings (such as number 206 where Prada is) are home to five-star hotels, luxury shops and leading companies.
