Behind the Palace of São Bento, we find the Palacete (small palace) with the same name, built in 1877, now used as the official residence of the Prime Minister of Portugal. The visiting room and the courtroom are on the ground floor, while the Council of Ministers' Meeting Room and the Prime Minister's offices are on the upper floor. Outside, the gardens house a swimming pool, a wooded park and a pergola.
