With the Monteiro-Mor Palace as a backdrop, the National Theatre and Dance Museum brings together around 250,000 plays that tell the story of the performing arts in Portugal. When the curtain rises, we are taken on a journey through time, in a space where iconic costumes, props and figurines coexist happily with scale models, artistic pieces, scores and thousands of photographs.

In addition to the permanent exhibition, the National Museum of Theatre and Dance also hosts temporary exhibitions on themes related to the show.
