The National Museum of Natural History and Science integrates the University of Lisbon and is a place for education, science and culture, located in the heart of the city. The Museum includes the sections of history and material culture of science, zoology, anthropology, mineralogy and paleontology. Its collection, of scientific and cultural nature, is not only the result of donations, but also of the museum's own research and various scientific expeditions. In addition to showcasing its collections and university heritage, the museum organises exhibitions, conferences and other scientific, educational, cultural and leisure activities.
