Founded in 1919 and traditionally known as Loja do Japão by the residents of Rua Morais Soares, the grocery store was, at the time, specialized in cafes. Since 1983, it has been hosting a wide variety of regional products from Portuguese brands, many of which are still handcrafted, with a selection of cod, cheeses, sausages, fruits and wines.
