Founded in 1998, Fundação Oriente has the great mission of bringing the culture of the East to Lisbon, through cultural, educational, artistic, scientific, social and philanthropic actions. Fundação Oriente prioritizes cultural relations between Portugal and the Orient and has organized and supported exhibitions by Portuguese and Oriental artists. In the field of visual and performing arts, it has organized and sponsored exhibitions and shows in Macau, India and other Asian countries, as well as in Portugal.
