A multipurpose concert hall and a landmark in the history of Lisbon and the country, the Coliseu dos Recreios, inaugurated at the end of the 20th century, has since become a popular venue for the production of various shows at lower prices, including opera. Nowadays it is widely used for larger events, circus shows and concerts.

    Liberdade

Avenida da Liberdade was built following the style of the Champs Elysées between 1879 and 1882. It opened up a new era in the urbanisation and expansion of the city to the north and very quickly became the address of choice for high society. This aura of exclusivity accompanies it to the present day and its historic and imposing buildings (such as number 206 where Prada is) are home to five-star hotels, luxury shops and leading companies.
