Chapitô is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) which develops activities in three distinct areas in permanent articulation: social support, training and culture. Located in Costa do Castelo, the space where Chapitô functions was until the middle of the 20th century an orphanage for the children of well-off parents who were conceived in extra-marital relationships. Today it is "a worldly and cosmopolitan space", a house of culture with relevance to the Circus Arts and which still offers a gastronomic experience in what is considered one of the coolest terraces in Lisbon.
