Casa-Museu Amália Rodrigues
Museus e Espaços Culturais / São Bento
The house where Amália Rodrigues lived for most of her life, gave way to the House-Museum of the emblematic figure of Portuguese Fado, where you can take a true journey into the artist's life. A space where time stopped on the day of the fado singer's departure, leaving everything as she left it. In a house that lived off the song of saudade (a unique Portuguese word for the feeling of longing for someone, a place, or even something that never occured), Fado continues to be heard in weekly sessions, on Saturdays, in the garden.
