Capela do Rato
Espaços Religiosos / Estrela e Lapa
Capela do Rato is the name by which the Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Bonança is commonly known. With its doors open since 1939, it is a place of worship for many Catholics, gaining prominence during the revolutionary decade of the 70's when it witnessed the vigil of Capela do Rato, organised by a group of Catholics who took a stand against the colonial war and the dictatorial regime of the Estado Novo.
