Igreja da Boa Hora
Espaços Religiosos / Ajuda
The Boa-Hora Church was built to replace a convent of Dominican friars that was destroyed following the 1755 earthquake and is one of the monuments in Ajuda with the greatest influence of the baroque style. Inside the church there are tile panels with scenes from the life of St. Augustine, religious paintings attributed to Bento Coelho de Oliveira and Botovi and various other images. Both the church and the former convent are classified as Monuments of Public Interest.
